DIY Origami Pencil Holder

Do you need a pencil holder but don’t want to spend a lot of money on one? Making an origami pencil holder is a fun, inexpensive way to add some style to your office or workspace. All you’ll need to make an origami pencil holder is a few sheets of paper, scissors, and some glue. With minimal supplies and a few minutes of your time, you can make a unique, handmade pencil holder of your own.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Before you begin, make sure you have the supplies you’ll need. You’ll need a few pieces of paper, scissors, and glue. It’s best to use paper that’s easy to fold, such as origami paper, scrapbook paper, or even a few sheets of regular printer paper. Make sure the paper you choose is of a similar size and color. You’ll also need a pencil or pen for marking and cutting.

Step 2: Cut the Paper

Once you have the supplies you need, it’s time to start cutting. Start by folding one of the sheets of paper in half. Then, using a pencil or pen, draw a line down the center of the folded paper. This will be the line you use to cut the paper. Once you’ve drawn the line, unfold the paper and cut along the line. You should now have two pieces of paper that are the same size.

Step 3: Fold the Paper

Now that you have two pieces of paper, it’s time to start folding. Begin by folding one of the pieces of paper in half, width-wise. Then, fold the paper in half again. Now, fold the paper in half one more time. You should now have a small square. Now, repeat these steps with the other piece of paper.

Step 4: Glue the Paper Together

Now that you have two small squares, it’s time to glue them together. Take one of the squares and place it on a flat surface. Then, take the other square and place it on top of the first square. Make sure the edges of the two squares line up. Now, take some glue and spread it along the edges of the two squares. Allow the glue to dry before moving onto the next step.

Step 5: Cut a Hole in the Center

Once the glue is dry, it’s time to cut a hole in the center of the two squares. Take a pencil or pen and draw a circle in the center of the two squares. Then, take a pair of scissors and cut along the line you drew. You should now have a hole in the center of the two squares.

Step 6: Attach a Handle

Now that you have a hole in the center of the two squares, you’ll need to attach a handle. Take a piece of paper and fold it in half. Then, cut it into a strip. Take the strip and fold it in half length-wise. Now, take the folded strip and insert it through the hole in the center of the two squares. Make sure the ends of the strip are sticking out of the hole. Then, take some glue and spread it along the ends of the strip. Allow the glue to dry before using your new pencil holder.

Conclusion

Making an origami pencil holder is a fun, inexpensive way to add some style to your office or workspace. All you need is a few sheets of paper, scissors, and some glue to make your own unique pencil holder. With just a few minutes of your time, you can create a handmade pencil holder that’s sure to be the envy of all your friends.
