Origami Star – Ninja Style: Step-by-Step Instructions

When it comes to easy origami, the classic star is one of the most popular projects. It’s great for kids who are new to origami, and it’s a fun challenge for folks who have more experience. But why stick with the traditional star shape when you could make something a little more unique? This tutorial will show you how to make a ninja-style star with origami paper.

You’ll need two sheets of origami paper for this project. These special squares of paper come with a colored side and a white side. It’s important to use paper with the colored side up, since that’s the side that will show when you finish your project. If you don’t have origami paper, you can use plain paper and color it yourself with markers or crayons. Just make sure you color both sides of the paper evenly.

Start by folding one sheet of paper in half. Make sure the colored side is facing up. Unfold the paper and then fold it in half the other way. Again, make sure the colored side is facing up. This will create a crease in the middle of your paper that looks like a “+”. Now fold the paper in half one more time, making sure the colored side is facing out. This will create a small triangular shape.

Making the Body of the Star

Now you’re ready to begin making the body of the star. Flip the paper over so the white side is facing up. Take the two edges of the triangle and fold them towards the center line. Make sure the edges are even and that the points of the triangle meet at the center line. This will create a diamond shape.

Now flip the paper over so the colored side is facing up. Take the two edges of the diamond and fold them towards the center line. Again, make sure the edges are even and that the points of the diamond meet at the center line. This will create a smaller diamond shape.

Finishing the Star

Now you’re ready to finish the star. Take the two edges of the square and fold them towards the center line. Make sure the edges are even and that the points of the square meet at the center line. This will create a small triangle.

Finally, take the two edges of the diamond and fold them towards the center line. Make sure the edges are even and that the points of the diamond meet at the center line. This will create a small star.

Adding a Tail and Finishing Touches

Now you’re ready to add a tail to your star. Take the two edges of the star and fold them towards the center line. Make sure the edges are even and that the points of the star meet at the center line. This will create a small triangle.
