Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. It is a traditional craft that has been around for centuries, and is still enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned paper folder, money origami is a great way to add a unique and creative touch to your money. Money origami is especially popular around the holidays, like Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. In this article, we will show you how to fold an easy money origami flower.

Step One: Gather Your Materials

The materials you will need to fold a money origami flower are relatively simple. All you need is a single dollar bill, some scissors, and a ruler. If you don’t have a ruler, you can use a pencil, pen, or even a chopstick instead. You may also want to use a paperclip or a piece of double-sided tape to help keep your flower together.

Step Two: Cut the Dollar Bill in Half

Once you have gathered your materials, start by cutting your dollar bill in half, lengthwise. You can use your scissors or a ruler and a craft knife to make the cut. Cut along the long side of the dollar bill, so that you have two strips of equal length. If your dollar bill is wrinkled, you can try to iron it out first. Use a low heat setting so you don’t scorch the money.

Step Three: Fold the Dollar Bill

Now it’s time to fold your dollar bill. Start by folding it in half, lengthwise, and then crease the fold. Next, fold the dollar bill in half again, and then fold it in half one more time. You should now have a long, thin strip of paper. Now, fold the strip in half, and crease the fold. Then, fold the strip in half again, and crease the fold. You should now have a small, rectangular shape.

Step Four: Create the Petals

Now it’s time to create the petals of your flower. Start by folding the dollar bill in half, lengthwise. Then, fold the dollar bill in half again. You should now have a long, thin strip of paper. Now, fold the strip in half, and crease the fold. Then, fold the strip in half again, and crease the fold. You should now have a small, rectangular shape.

Next, use your scissors to cut small slits in the top of the rectangle. Make sure the slits are evenly spaced, and that they are not too close together. You should have four petals when you are done. Fold the petals up, so that they look like the petals of a flower. Then, use your paperclip or a piece of tape to hold the petals in place.

Step Five: Create the Pistil

Now it’s time to create the pistil of your flower. Start by folding the remaining strip of paper in half, lengthwise. Then, fold the paper in half again. Now, fold the paper in half one more time. You should now have a small, rectangular shape. Now, fold the rectangle in half, and crease the fold. Then, fold the rectangle in half one more time. You should now have a small, triangular shape.

Now, cut a small slit in the center of the triangle. This will be the pistil of your flower. Fold the triangle up, so that it looks like the pistil of a flower. Then, use your paperclip or a piece of tape to hold the pistil in place.

Step Six: Assemble the Flower

Now it’s time to assemble your flower. Take the petals and the pistil, and arrange them in the center of your dollar bill. Make sure the petals and the pistil are evenly spaced and that they are not too close together. Now, use a paperclip or a piece of tape to hold the petals and the pistil in place.

Step Seven: Enjoy Your Money Origami Flower!

Once you have assembled your flower, you can enjoy your money origami flower! You can display it on a shelf, or give it as a gift. Money origami is a fun and creative way to show your loved ones how much you care. So, get creative and start folding!
