How to Make a Baby Bib Bouquet

Bibs are a staple in any baby’s wardrobe. For your next baby shower, you can make a unique and attractive bouquet of bibs to serve as a decoration and a gift. This project is ideal for those who want to make something special for the new parents without spending a fortune.

Gathering Your Supplies

You’ll need to gather the following supplies:

  • 18-24 baby bibs of assorted sizes, colors, and designs
  • Scissors
  • 24-30 inches of 3/8-inch wide ribbon in a color that matches the bibs
  • Tacky glue
  • Masking tape
  • Straws
  • Floral foam for artificial flowers
  • 2 yards of lace or tulle
  • Wooden dowels
  • Hot glue gun
  • A bouquet holder or container
  • Silk or artificial flowers

You can find most of these items at your local craft store. You can also purchase bibs online, in bulk, or at a local baby store.

Making the Base

Start by cutting the straws into three pieces, each measuring 4 inches. Insert the straws into the floral foam, leaving one inch of the straws exposed above the foam. Arrange the straws in a triangle formation and secure them with masking tape. Place the wooden dowels at the center of the straws and secure them with hot glue.

Next, glue the ribbon to the foam and the wooden dowels, wrapping it around them. Secure the ribbon with tacky glue and let it dry. Once it’s dry, tie the lace or tulle around the ribbon and wooden dowel, securing it with a knot.

Making the Bibs

Lay out the bibs and arrange them into pairs, matching their size and design. Cut 10-inch lengths of the ribbon and set them aside. Place a dab of tacky glue on the back of the bibs and attach them to one another. Let the glue dry for at least one hour.

Once the bibs are dry, glue the ribbon to the center of each one. Make sure to keep the ribbon in place until the glue dries. Attach the bibs to the foam and wooden dowels, arranging them in a bouquet formation. Secure each bib with a dab of hot glue and let them dry.

Adding the Flowers

Once the bibs are dry, you can add the flowers to complete the bouquet. Place the flowers at the center of the bibs and secure them with hot glue. If you’re using artificial flowers, insert the stems into the floral foam and secure them with hot glue.

Finally, you can place the bouquet in a bouquet holder or container. You can also wrap the bouquet in cellophane and attach a tag with the baby’s name or a special message. Your baby bib bouquet is complete and ready to give as a unique and special gift.
