Gathering the Supplies
Making a candy bouquet for a graduation is a great way to show the graduate how much you care and add some fun to the celebration. A candy bouquet consists of a variety of candy, typically of the graduate’s favorite type, arranged in a decorative container or basket. To make a graduation candy bouquet, you will need the following supplies:
- A container or basket
- A variety of candy
- Cellophane
- Tissue paper
- Ribbon
- A card
- Bamboo skewers
The container or basket can be a traditional basket or anything that can hold and support the candy. A vase, a plastic container, or a paper mache box are all good options. Choose candy that the graduate likes, but also a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. You can use chocolate, hard candy, gummies, or any combination of these. Cellophane will be used to wrap the bouquet. Choose tissue paper in the school’s colors or in the graduate’s favorite colors. Be sure to have a card that expresses your congratulations to the graduate, and bamboo skewers to help hold the candy together.
Creating the Bouquet
Now that you have the supplies, you can begin creating the graduation candy bouquet. Begin by placing the candy at the bottom of the container or basket in a way that looks visually appealing. Place the larger, heavier pieces at the bottom and the smaller, lighter pieces on top. Once the candy is in place, you can begin to fill in the remaining space with tissue paper. Do this until all of the candy is hidden. Then, wrap the entire basket or container in cellophane.
At this point, insert a bamboo skewer into each piece of candy. This will help to hold the candy together and give the bouquet more stability. Once this is done, you can begin to wrap ribbon around the bouquet. Choose a ribbon in the school’s colors or a color that the graduate likes. Make sure to tie the ribbon in a bow at the top. Finally, place the card in the bow or attach it to the ribbon.
Finishing Touches
Once the candy bouquet is complete, you can add a few finishing touches to give it a personal touch. For example, you can add a few extra pieces of candy or other small items to the bouquet or attach a small stuffed animal to the top with ribbon. You can also add a few graduation-themed items, such as a graduation cap or diploma. These will make the bouquet a more special and personal gift for the graduate.
The best part about making a graduation candy bouquet is that it is not only a great way to congratulate the graduate, but also a fun activity to do with family or friends. You can make several bouquets and give them to other graduates or use them as decorations at the graduation party. However you choose to use them, they are sure to be a hit.
