How to Make a Silk Calla Lily Bouquet

Nothing is more elegant and beautiful than a bouquet of silk calla lilies. The large, trumpet-shaped flower heads of the calla lilies stand out from the other blooms in the bouquet, and the delicate petals create a stunningly graceful look. Making your own silk calla lily bouquet is a great way to save money and have a truly unique look for your wedding or special occasion.

Gather Your Materials

Before you begin, you will need to gather all of the materials you need to make the bouquet. You will need: silk calla lilies, floral wire and tape, ribbon, florist tape, scissors, and a few extra flowers to fill in the bouquet. You can find all of these items at your local craft store or online.

Assemble the Flowers

Once you have all of your materials, you can start to assemble the flowers. Start by taking the stems of the calla lilies and wrapping them tightly with floral wire and tape. This will help the flowers stay in place when you are arranging them into the bouquet. Once the stems are secure, you can begin to arrange the flowers into the bouquet.

Start by taking the largest calla lily and placing it in the center of the bouquet. Then, arrange the other calla lilies around the center in a circular pattern. You can fill in the gaps with smaller flowers like baby’s breath or roses. Once you have the bouquet arranged the way you like, use florist tape to secure the stems together.

Add the Ribbon

Now that your bouquet is arranged, you can add the ribbon. Start by measuring the ribbon so it is twice as long as the bouquet. Then, wrap the ribbon around the stems of the bouquet and tie it in a bow at the top. You can use a contrasting color ribbon to really make the bouquet stand out. You can also add a few extra touches like beads or charms to the ribbon if you like.

Finishing Touches

Once you have your bouquet finished, you can add a few extra touches to make it look even more special. For example, you can add a few silk butterflies or other small decorative pieces to the bouquet. You can also add a few sprigs of fresh greenery to help fill out the bouquet. Finally, you can spray the bouquet with a light mist of water to help keep the flowers looking fresh.

Making a silk calla lily bouquet is a great way to save money and have a truly unique bouquet for your wedding or special event. With a few materials and some simple instructions, you can easily create a stunning bouquet that will make a lasting impression.
