How to Make an Adorable Lorax Mustache Craft for Kids
The Lorax is a classic Dr. Seuss character that has been beloved by generations of children. In the book, the Lorax speaks for the trees, protecting them from the Once-ler. If you have a child who loves the Lorax, they may want to make a Lorax-themed craft. This Lorax mustache craft is the perfect way to bring the book to life and to give your little one a fun activity to do.
For this project, you will need a wooden craft stick, a sheet of yellow felt, some orange craft feathers, scissors, glue, a black marker, and a pair of googly eyes. These items can all be found at your local craft store or online.
Step 1: Cut the Felt
Take your yellow felt and cut out a rectangle that is slightly longer than your wooden craft stick. This rectangle will be the base of your mustache. Make sure to leave some extra room on the sides of the rectangle to glue the feathers onto later.
Step 2: Glue the Feathers
Take your orange feathers and glue them onto the sides of the felt rectangle. Make sure to spread them out evenly and to leave some extra room on the sides. This will help to create the look of a Lorax mustache.
Step 3: Glue the Stick
Take your wooden craft stick and glue it onto the back of the felt rectangle. Make sure to press down firmly to ensure that the stick is securely attached. This will be the handle of your Lorax mustache.
Step 4: Add the Details
Take your black marker and draw on a mouth for your Lorax mustache. Then, glue on the googly eyes to complete the look. You can also add any other details that you would like, such as a nose or eyebrows.
Your Lorax mustache craft is now complete! Your child will have fun playing with their new Lorax craft and telling stories of the Lorax. They can use this craft to act out scenes from the book or to create their own stories. Whatever they choose to do, they will have a blast with their Lorax mustache craft!
