Making Room on the Broom Craft

Room on the Broom is a famous children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It tells the story of a kind witch and her animal friends who all ride on her broomstick. It’s a great story and a perfect theme for a fun craft project. Whether it’s for Halloween, a birthday party or just a rainy day, this craft is sure to spark the imagination of children of all ages.

Gather the Supplies

Before you can begin crafting, you’ll need to gather some supplies. The main items you will need are card stock, scissors, glue and markers. You can find these items at any craft or office supply store. Other optional supplies include sequins, glitter, buttons, and other small decorative items.

Making the Broomstick

Once you have the supplies, it’s time to make the broomstick. Start by cutting a long, thin piece of cardstock for the handle of the broom. Then, cut out a large triangle shape for the top. This will be the broom head. You can draw or trace the design on the card stock, or you can make your own design. Once you are happy with the design, glue the handle onto the triangle.

Adding the Details

Now it’s time to make the broom come to life with some decorations. Start by drawing or tracing a design onto the broom. You can use markers or crayons to give it some color. Next, add some embellishments like glitter, sequins, buttons, or other small decorations. This is a great way to get creative and make the broom your own.

Making the Witch

The last part of the craft is to make the witch. You can use a piece of cardstock to cut out a shape for the witch’s body. Then, use markers or crayons to draw the face and other features. You can also add some embellishments to make the witch unique. When you are finished, glue the witch onto the broom.

Finishing Up

Now that you have finished your craft, it’s time to show it off. Display it in your room, or give it as a gift. This craft is sure to bring a smile to your little one’s face.

Making Room on the Broom craft is a great way to bring the classic story to life. It’s also a great way to get creative and have some fun. With the right supplies and a little bit of imagination, you can create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. So gather up your supplies and get ready to make some magic.
